Summary

Masquerade was developed from a game proposition: how to separate the interesting elements of social interaction from the boring and complicated ones? My answer is to make it strategic. I not only add intellectual confrontation to the game, but also abstract all kinds of things in the social scene, while a process is retained: roundabout pry, inquiring one's rumor at the dance, and catering to someone or threatening someone.

Masquerade ball is a strategic role-playing board game. Players can choose different scripts to simulate various scenes, from masquerade ball at the court to afternoon tea salon of ladies, and choose various socialite roles to play in the scene.

According to the characters you play, you will have different goals, different allies, different hidden weaknesses and hobbies, which can be used to intrigue against each other. Characters don't know each other's goals, but every character should ensure to be the only winner, which enriches the game with more tactical considerations and social difficulties, and thus makes the game more interesting.
